Dr Aman Kwatra, C. Psychol., Ps.S.I
Education
Dr Aman Kwatra completed his MSc in Psychology at the University of St Andrews in 2016, and obtained his Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College Dublin in 2020. At Trinity, he was awarded the Allen Burke Memorial Prize for Best Counselling Psychology Dissertation. He also completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Bereavement and Loss in 2024 from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland / Irish Hospice Foundation.
Dr Kwatra also holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Bristol, an MA in Post-War Recovery Studies from the University of York, a Bachelors Degree (Hons) in Classical Studies from The Open University (UK), and a Bachelors in Mass Media from the University of Mumbai.

Dr Kwatra has also lectured at Trinity College Dublin and K.C. College, Mumbai. He is a published author, and works with clients across the lifespan. Dr Kwatra specializes in supporting people impacted by adverse childhood experiences, complex trauma, physical-emotional-sexual abuse, bereavement and loss, and violation of body-integrity. He also works with clients who are striving for self-discovery, self-actualization and self-transcendence.

Based on the principles of Emotion-Focused Therapy, and developed by clinicians and researchers, this client-focused workbook is designed to supplement psychotherapy and can also serve as a self-help book. It helps readers learn how to regulate feelings that are unpleasant and transform painful feelings, so that they can fulfil their needs and feel more connected and empowered in their lives. Providing a step-by-step sequential guide to exploring, embracing, and transforming emotions, the various chapters guide the reader to help overcome emotional avoidance, with sections on: transforming the emotional self-interrupter; transforming the inner self-worrier; transforming the self-critic; and healing from emotional injury.
